Chambal Art and Life Skill Trust came into existence in July 2017 but got formally registered on 15th April 2019. The source of inspiration for this trust and its works has been Mrs. Meera Purwar who spent her entire life in patronizing the Jute handicraft.

Chambal Craft Award

The trust has established Chambal Craft Award aiming at recognizing new as well old artisans so that old arts and handicrafts are preserved in their original form and some sort of monetary support is provided to the artisans for betterment of their art form. This is the first of series of awards for which as of now only one category has been defined. We plan to increase more categories in the years to come.

First Prize

First prize shall consist of Rs 10,000 cash.

Second Prize

Second prize shall consist of Rs 7,000 cash.

Third Prize

Third prize shall consist of Rs 5,000 cash.

Consolation Prize

10 consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 cash shall be provided.
